Woman Shot And Killed In Hartford: Reports

Police believe the woman was targeted in the shooting, which also injured a man late Thursday night, according to reports.

HARTFORD, CT — City police are investigating what is believed to have been a targeting killing late Thursday night in which a Hartford woman in her early 30s was shot multiple times, according to reports.

WFSB Channel 3 identified the woman killed as being Shadarean Ellison, who was pronounced dead after being rushed to St. Francis Hospital via private vehicles.

WFSB is also reporting that a man was injured in the same shooting.

WVIT Channel 30, citing Hartford police, said the victim was standing on a sidewalk on Westland Street with a group of peole when a gunman approached and fired shots.

Hartford police believe she was specifically targeted by her assailant, reports WVIT Channel 30.
