Police said approximately 5,000 Ledyard residences were without power early Monday morning.

LEDYARD, CT - Police said approximately 5,000 Ledyard residences were without power early Monday morning. Ledyard Emergency Dispatch Center had over 20 reports of road closures overnight, prompting officials to close schools Monday.
Eversource officials said nearly 90 percent of Ledyard lost power as a result of the storm, according to the New London Day.

Police said over 40 roads are currently either completely or partially blocked due to trees and/or wires down. Eversource officials said crews have been deployed in town and that reinforcements are en route, according to police.

The New London Day reported Ledyard and Groton were the towns hit hardest by the storm in Southeastern Connecticut, and that Eversource officials said it could take up to two days before some Ledyard residents have their power restored.
Police said no restoration ETAs have been given, and residents are advised to use caution when driving at any point.
