• Ledyard Man Charged With Cruelty To Animals, Police Say (patch.com) — Ledyard residents are learning more about an animal cruelty case after police say a local man admitted during an unrelated call that he drowned a cat in a bathtub. Officers confirmed the cat's death at a nearby home, arrested the man on a cruelty to animals charge, and released him on bond ahead of a September court date in New London.
