Historic Haskell House is delighted to present a unique candlelight house concert featuring the legendary singer/songwriter Terre Roche, co-founder of The Roches, with special guests&nbsp;multi-instrumentalist duo&nbsp;Lisa &amp; Lori Brigantino on Saturday, June 13th, 2026 at 7pm.
<a href="https://www.terreroche.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Terre Roche</a> headlines the show with a set of her original songs. Sisters <a href="https://lisabrigantino.com/lisa-and-lori-brigantino-epk/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Lisa and Lori Brigantino</a> will open, performing Lisa’s original songs with tight sibling harmonies and switching between multiple instruments. After Terre’s set, all three will join together for songs from both of their catalogs,&nbsp; as well as a select cover or two plus a few sing-a-longs.

Terre is a songwriter, guitar player, teacher, author, innkeeper and founding member of the legendary vocal trio, The Roches, and the band Afro-Jersey. She has performed in many clubs and concert halls throughout the United States and Europe and appeared on numerous TV shows over the course of her 50-plus year career.&nbsp; She is a co-creator with jazz pianist <a href="https://www.garrydial.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Garry Dial</a> of Us an' Them, a collection of national anthems from 16 nations. Her composition,<a href="https://www.ecspublishing.com/composers/r/terre-roche.html" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">&nbsp;Star of Wonder,</a>&nbsp;has become a favorite repertoire piece in choirs around the world.&nbsp;
Terre's many collaborations include work with Paul Simon, Philip Glass, Linda Ronstadt, Meredith Monk, Don Was, The Muscle Shoals Swampers, Robert Fripp, Tracey Ullman, Kathy Mattea and Garry Dial, among others.&nbsp;
In 2022, Terre released&nbsp;<a href="https://terreroche.bandcamp.com/merch/kin-ya-see-that-sun-book-autographed-by-terre-roche" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Kin Ya See That Sun</a>&nbsp;an audio album of live recordings of Terre and her sister Maggie doing arrangements of songs they did when they were teenagers traveling around the country to play on the college coffee house circuit.&nbsp; The album contains many of the songs from Terre and Maggie’s debut duo album&nbsp;
Seductive&nbsp;Reasoning&nbsp;as they were originally arranged, for just two voices and two guitars. The album was released digitally and is also presented in a hardcover book that includes lyrics, photographs, drawings, and recollections from various people who remember Terre and Maggie from way back when.&nbsp;
In 2024, Terre released <a href="https://terreroche.bandcamp.com/merch/inner-adult-book-autographed-by-terre-roche" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Inner Adult</a>, a new album of thirteen original songs, her first since 2015. The songs were recorded at Coral Star Studio on the island of St. John all in one take.&nbsp;Praise for Inner Adult from Cynthia Daniels, Grammy/Emmy Award winning recording engineer and producer: “...&nbsp;everyone should listen to this album just as it was recorded--in one take. Terre has a signature impossible to forge...a genuine and original art form.”&nbsp;
Lisa and Lori Brigantino grew up in Katonah, NY where they started making music together as children. They are known for their tight sibling harmonies and musicianship--often juggling a number of different instruments including guitar, banjo, accordion, ukulele, percussion and more.&nbsp;
Lisa Brigantino is an award-winning singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and composer.&nbsp; The Daily Country says of her latest album <a href="https://lisabrigantino.bandcamp.com/album/ill-waltz-before-i-go-album" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">I’ll Waltz Before I Go</a>: "Throughout the thirteen tracks, Lisa seamlessly blends genres from Folk to Americana, Country, Rock, and Old-Time, even incorporating some Gypsy-Jazz for good measure.”&nbsp;Lori Brigantino is a singer and multi-instrumentalist. She can be heard singing harmonies and playing various instruments on I’ll Waltz Before I Go and her vocals can be heard on Lisa’s albums <a href="https://lisabrigantino.bandcamp.com/album/wonder-wheel-album" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Wonder Wheel</a> and <a href="https://lisabrigantino.bandcamp.com/album/a-brooklyn-night-album" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">A Brooklyn Night.</a>&nbsp;
Lisa and Lori regularly perform Lisa’s original songs and select covers at a variety of well-known clubs, coffeehouses, house concerts in NYC and beyond and have been selected to appear at notable conferences and music festivals including The New Jersey Folk Festival, The Ladybug Music Festival, Folk Alliance, and The Wellfleet Porchfest, to name a few.&nbsp;&nbsp;Music Connection Magazine offers praise:&nbsp;“Most notable is the duo’s multi-instrumental proficiency…What they have is both unique and brimming with good-natured playfulness.”

Nothing says spring better than our popular Classic Design Luncheon and Lecture! We’re honored to feature Genevieve Wheeler-Brown, the author of&nbsp;<a href="https://beyondblueandwhite.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">“Beyond Blue and White.”</a>
Wheeler-Brown’s book explores the history of Delftware ceramics, focusing on the often-overlooked roles of women as makers, patrons, and collectors, from 17th-century factory owners like&nbsp;Barbara Rotteveel&nbsp;to Gilded Age collectors like&nbsp;Mrs. J. Pierpont Morgan. A must for devotees of decorative arts and the history of material culture. 
Location: The award-winning Jay Estate Gardens designed by Nelson Byrd Woltz. Co-Chairs, Tracy Edwards, Liz Garrett, Emmy Lambert, Lindsay Bello Martin and Suzanne Clary.
Guests will enjoy botanical cocktails and a tour of the blue and white blooms of our gardens at 11:30am followed by lunch and lecture at 12 Noon. Booksigning at 1:30pm. Catering provided by Scarborough Fair Catering.

GENEVIEVE WHEELER BROWN
Founding Genevieve Wheeler Decorative Art Advisory in 2003, Genevieve comes to the advisory business with more than 12 years of experience in the auction world, strong generalist knowledge and a wide range of contacts in American, European and Asian decorative and fine arts.
Genevieve began her career with Christie’s in 1992 with the European Decorative Arts Department after working as an intern at The Phillips Collection, Washington D.C. in 1990. She was then asked to run Overseas Consignments at Christie’s Park Avenue, a department that handled inquiries for European based auctions including Indian and Southeast Asian art, Islamic Art, Miniatures, Textiles and Cameras. In 1995 Genevieve became the New York contact for sales of Fabergé and Russian Silver at Christie’s Park Avenue and most recently was as a specialist in Fine Musical Instruments at Christie’s Rockefeller Center from 1998 to 2003.
While at Christie’s, she was involved with important sales such as ‘The Pine Cone Egg’ by Carl Fabergé and ‘The Taft’ Stradivari which fetched the auction record for an instrument sold in the United States. She has also been an appraiser on the PBS production ‘The Antiques Roadshow’.
A supporter of several fine and decorative art related institutions, Genevieve has served on the Board of the National Society of Colonial Dames in the State of New York, served as a member of the Young Fellows Steering Committee of the Frick Collection from 1995 to 2005 and co-Chaired the Winter Antiques Show Young Collector’s Night, New York in 2004, 2005, and 2006.
Genevieve currently advises several organizations including <a href="https://www.dumbartonhouse.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Dumbarton House</a>, a Federal period house museum in Georgetown, as a board member as well as for <a href="https://www.thewintershow.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">The Winter Show</a> as a vice-chair of Opening Night and as co-founder of The Winter Show Luncheon.About The Jay Heritage Center
