The Voice of Art (TVOA) is organizing its sixth annual outdoor juried fine art show, “Fine Art Festival” Sharon on the Green. This show is free and open to the public and will showcase high-quality fine art and fine functional art created by the artists from CT plus six other states. TVOA’s Fine Art Festival will be a highlight for art collectors and residents from the Tri-State region, New England and beyond.

Illness, injury, the dying process, and even anticipatory grief can make a person’s world very small. Energy fades. Mobility changes. Words become harder to find. Patients often depend on others to bring the world to them at the bedside.
This presentation explores how sound, touch, scent, taste, and visual connection can still reach people when so much else is falling away. Even when memory fades or conversation stops, the senses can offer comfort, grounding, connection, and moments of peace.
We’ll also look at how our own attachments, aversions, and judgments shape suffering and care. The same smell, sound, or touch can soothe one person and unsettle another. Learning to meet these moments with presence instead of resistance can change the experience for everyone involved.
This is not about sugarcoating hard realities or forcing meaning onto suffering. It’s about learning how to stay present with what is — and finding that comfort, beauty, and connection can still exist, even when things are "not okay".
Who is this for?
Caregivers, healthcare professionals, hospice workers, patients, families, and anyone wanting to enhance "QOL for ROL" Quality of Life for the Rest of Life.

The United Church of Christ Southbury

UCC Southbury invites the community to join them for the 50th Annual Southbury Strawberry Festival on the spacious Church Green, located at 283 Main Street North, in Southbury, CT, to be held on Saturday, June 6th, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (rain or shine).
There will be fresh strawberry shortcakes with homemade whipped cream, live music by Band o’ Brothers, Nick Depuy and Adelaide Punkin, assorted baked goods, grilled foods and Food Trucks including Cousins Maine Lobster and Red Apple Catering with Ben &amp; Jerry’s Ice Cream on hand. Also featuring raffle prizes, Kids Zone bouncy house, games and activities, and 40 different vendors and artisans for interested shoppers. 
We encourage all attendees to take advantage of the FREE PARKING SHUTTLE from 22 Old Waterbury Rd (only 500 yards away).
