Our experience as the "Three Amigos" continues to draw our attention to all that our faith traditions have in common. Each topic we speak about draws us back to that realization. Those who attend our gatherings notice it and comment on it. On May 13 we will open up what we believe about the "sacred texts" of our faith traditions that form the foundation of our awareness of and our belief about the Holy One. May 29-31Ed Stevens hopes to be of service in his role as a retreat leader. His recovery retreats are centered around the guiding questions: “Where am I—in relation to God, to myself, and to the world?”
In his work, he explores themes such as unmanageability and faith, the violence within ourselves and how it manifests in the world, intimacy and emotional sobriety, and forgiveness as a path toward bringing loving-kindness into the world through the 12 Steps.
Throughout the retreat, Ed weaves his personal experience in recovery through the steps of AA, while drawing on the teachings of Richard Rohr, Joan Chittister, Thomas Keating, and Bill Wilson.

Anchored in Dr. Alan Wolfelt’s “companioning” model of grief care, there will be a recognition of how grief and mourning are normal and necessary experiences that are fundamentally a journey of the heart and soul. A critical distinction between caring versus curing will be outlined. You will go away with a wealth of knowledge surrounding the transformative nature of grief.
