• Lifeguards No Longer On Duty At Madison's Beaches (patch.com) — Madison residents heading to the beach this week should know that town lifeguards are now off duty for the season at East Wharf, Surf Club, and the third town beach. Parking passes are still required seven days a week through Labor Day, and can be purchased online, by mail, or in person.
   

• Suspect Arrested In Motor Vehicle Theft Case From 2021: Madison Police (patch.com) — Madison residents are learning more about a 2021 motor vehicle theft after police announced the recent arrest of a 23-year-old Waterbury man, credited to ongoing work by the department's Criminal Investigations Division. Madison police emphasized their commitment to pursuing cases regardless of age, while noting the suspect is being held on bail and is presumed innocent pending court proceedings.
