Town's Solar Program, New Health Department among 2016 Highlights for Madison First Selectman
Tom Banisch recently took a look back at the year, and liked what he saw.

MADISON, CT — For Tom Banisch, Madison's first-term First Selectman, while 2016 was challenging at times, he wants residents to know that their input and dedication to the town make his job a wonderful experience.
In an op-ed on the past year posted on the Madison Source, Banisch wrote that among the highlights during the year were the town's continued work on a new solar energy program, and the hiring of a new health director and construction of a new health department.
Additionally, though tough at times, Banisch said he was proud to see Madison come through with an annual budget "that worked for the town" (though a special appropriation was needed later), and continue to stay the course on public works projects.
