Discipline Recommended for Manchester Nurse After Child's Death
A state governing body has made the recommendation.

MANCHESTER, CT — A state governing body has recommended disciplining an East Hartford nurse for her actions while caring fore a 13-month-old girl who died in 2014, according to a Connecticut Health I-Team story.
The state Board of Examiners for Nursing said a June 14 investigative report concluded that licensed practical nurse Shirley Powell failed to follow CPR and supervisory protocol for the girl, a Connecticut Health I-Team story indicates.
Powell had the girl’s brother call 911 but she did not follow emergency procedures, according to the story, citing a report.
