MANCHESTER, CT — The Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce has announced its 125th Annual Meeting, which will commemorate a century-and-a-quarter of leadership, impact, and community excellence.

The event is scheduled for March 27, from 5 to 9:30 p.m. at Georgina's Restaurant and Banquet Facility, located at 275 Boston Turnpike in Bolton.

The Chamber has served as a driving force for regional economic growth, business advocacy, and community collaboration for 125 years. This milestone event reflects more than a century of partnership and progress. This progress has helped shape the economic and cultural landscape of Greater Manchester.

The annual meeting will honor several individuals and businesses. Silk City Coffee, owned by Tammy and Glen Gerhard, and Sarah and Rob May, will receive the Business of the Year award. The Chamber recognized Silk City Coffee for its sustained excellence, innovation, and measurable economic impact.

Shannon Baldassario, CEO of MACC Charities, will be presented with the inaugural Emerging Leader Award. This award acknowledges her visionary leadership and measurable community impact. The Chamber noted that Baldassario has strengthened strategic partnerships and expanded initiatives addressing food insecurity, housing stability, and essential human services.

Bruce Marcus of Marcus Communications will be honored with the Community Achievement Award. Marcus is recognized for decades of innovation in communications technology and unwavering community support. Through his company, he has championed veteran hiring initiatives and supported regional causes such as the Hartford Marathon and Special Olympics.
