VERNON, CT — A armed Manchester man was tracked down at an apartment complex in Vernon after he fled the scene of a disturbance, according to an arrest report. He is now facing a felony charge, among others, according to an arrest report.

The incident at the Dobbs Crossing complex on Hartford Turnpike took place at 9:59 p.m. on Wednesday, police said.

Officers responded to the scene, but the man, identified as 28-year-old Manchester resident Alex Augustus, had fled the property, according to an incident report.

He was tracked down a short time later and a knife was confiscated, police said.

Augustus was charged with carrying a dangerous weapon, a felony in Connecticut. He was also charged with interfering with police, third-degree assault and second-degree threatening.

He appeared in court Thursday, posted a $25,000 bond and is due back before a judge on April 20, judicial system records indicate.
