CT Weather: Back-to-Back April Snow Accumulation Chances
It's early April and of course we're discussing the chances for snow on back-to-back days.

There is some good news concerning two upcoming snow chances for Connecticut. First, any snow that falls Friday morning is expected to do so after the morning commute to work and school. And any snow that falls is not expected to amount to much, especially along the Connecticut coast, which is where the snowflakes will turn to rain quickly.
The big question remains Saturday as accumulating snow is predicted, especially in southern areas of the state. The National Weather Service has released initial snow estimates for both Friday and Saturdays possible snow chances.
Today, will be dry but again cold as temps will be 5 to 10 degrees below average. "Clouds will increase overnight as a warm front approaches. Light snow, or a mix of rain and snow, will begin to overspread Southern Connecticut from the south around sunrise or shortly thereafter. A brief burst of snow, which could stick, is possible during the morning hours ... before the precipitation changes over to light rain."

In Northern Connecticut for Friday, there is a better chances for more snow here. The National Weather Service says there is a "low risk for several inches of snowfall Friday morning."
Currently, the weather service is predicting less than one inch of snow for the Connecticut coast, one inch for inland areas of Southern Connecticut on Friday and possibly a few inches in Northern Connecticut.

For Saturday, Southern Connecticut is looking at 2 to 4 inches of accumulating snow and the weather service says for Northern Connecticut there is "another low risk for accumulating snow occurs Saturday."
WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons said, "Bright and cold today. 40s but feeling like 30s with the cold wind. Light snow after AM commute Friday then changing to rain. Heavy part of Saturday’s storm looks south of us Saturday. Let’s watch it."
Friday morning's commute should be fine (YAY! Maybe kids can get out of school before July!) but snow is likely on Saturday and accumulating snow is still very much on the table.
