Manchester's own Harper Shirley and Maxine Rothman placed strongly in the girls large race, while runners from nearby towns like Tolland, Avon, East Granby and E.O. Smith also claimed division wins.

• TikTok love note, DNA helped link Enfield man to $10,000 Motel 6 robbery, warrant says (middletownpress.com) — Investigators tracing a July armed robbery at a Wethersfield Motel 6 say a Flock camera later captured the stolen Hyundai Elantra driving in Manchester near Cemetery Road and Spencer Street. Combined with DNA from the car, social media clues and a handgun seized in Enfield, that evidence led police to charge Francisco Perez, while a second suspect remains at large.
