Timeline of Snow, Ice and Rain and Thoughts on Schools Monday

Meteorologist Kevin Arnone wrote for News 8 that the snow begins statewide by 10 a.m. and it will be cold enough to support snow everywhere initially. He said roads become difficult between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. the snow changes to a mix across most of Connecticut, especially on the coast. Northern Connecticut will likely remain all snow during the afternoon before it changes to a mix, Arnone predicts.

And the precipitation will return as all snow again in Connecticut between 10 p.m. and 3 a.m. There could be some snow showers Monday morning and school delays and cancellations are expected, Arnone predicts.
