Meet Smudge, a 4-year-old Female Torbie Cat

Visit the Mansfield Animal Control Web site for a complete list of adoptees.

Mansfield-Storrs residents, meet Smudge. Smudge is a 4-year-old spayed and vaccinated short-haired female torbie cat. She has tested negative for feline AIDS and leukemia and is completely vetted.

Smudge was surrendered by her owner who was no longer able to care for her.

She has been at the shelter for several weeks now and her fee for adoption is $40. The shelter also uses a short adoption survey in order to make the best match for both pet and owner.

"She needs to be the only cat," said Animal Control Officer Noranne Nielsen. "She gets very nervous around other cats."

To help with the care and maintenance of its animals, the shelter graciously accepts monetary donations, as well as canned and dry pet food and unscented cat litter. Volunteers are always welcome.
