• With 1st CT Human West Nile Case Announced, How Has Mosquito Testing Gone In Mansfield? (patch.com) — Mansfield residents can take some comfort knowing that nearly 200 mosquitoes trapped on Fieldstone Drive have all tested negative for West Nile virus, even as Connecticut reports its first human case of 2026. State health officials still warn that mosquito activity and positive tests are peaking statewide, urging Mansfield and other communities to reduce standing water and take precautions against bites through early fall.
