Central Connecticut Civic Youth Orchestra announces that its Orchestra Summer 2011 program is now taking registrations for its program at the Augusta Curtis Cultural Center, 175 East Main Street, across the street from Meriden City Hall. Orchestra Summer 2011 runs throughout the month of July. Rehearsals are 5-7pm weeknights, with the concert on Sunday, July 24th at 4pm. Young musicians must have at least one full calendar year of instruction on the instrument he or she will play at Orchestra Summer. All instruments are welcome, and three levels of study will be offered: Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced. A Composition class will be offered when five students register for it; the class will be limited to eight students.
Tuition is $90. Scholarships are always available.
