Central Connecticut Civic Youth Orchestra at Martin Luther King/Albert Owens breakfast
The Principal Ensemble of the Central Connecticut Civic Youth Orchestra, (CCCYO), invites everyone to come hear them start off the Martin Luther King/Albert Owens breakfast on Monday at the Maloney High School Cafeteria at 8:00am!
This is the second year that the CCCYO has played at the Martin Luther King/Albert Owens breakfast. The CCCYO Principal Ensemble, composed of the most experienced young musicians of the larger CCCYO, will perform the "Star Spangled Banner" and the very popular "Simple Gifts", the traditional Shaker song popularized by Aaron Copeland in Appalachian Spring."
The CCCYO is eight years old and the Principal ensemble has 25 members. This is one of six annual public performances of the CCCYO. New members are always welcome to come sit in with his or her instrument at their Thursday rehearsal at the Center Congregational Church from, 4:30-7:00. Come hear wonderful music from the CCCYO and other area music groups and individuals! Come support a great cause
