Dick Boynton and his wife, Nancy, were invited to accompany a black native African and his white fiancée to the Congo in Africa to attend their wedding. When they arrived, the Boyntons realized that the African family had been told that they were the parents of the bride. Congolese marriage custom requires approval of the bride’s family, and the real bride’s parents were opposed to the marriage.
Dick will show slides and video of this unique and amazing experience in a place that absolutely no tourists ever visit and that is one of the poorest but happiest places on Earth.
