The Walk for Warmth is held by New Opportunities of Greater Meriden to raise money for local fuel assistance funds in Meriden, Southington, Wallingford and Berlin. The event consists of a two-mile benefit walk followed by a post-event reception that features food, children's activities, face painting, door prizes, raffles and an auction. There are opportunities available for individual and groups of walkers as well as business sponsorships, prize donations, heating oil sponsorships, and volunteer opportunities.
