Former Meriden Woman's Lip Balm Will be in Oscar Gift Bags

Former Meriden resident Brenda Mierzejewski’s homemade lip balm will be a gift featured in 100 gift bags for celebrities at the Academy Awards ceremony.

Mierzejewski is a stay-at-home mom that runs her Lip Luxe business on the side after she tucks her kids in to bed, according to the Record-Journal. She experimented with lip balm formulas for her kids.

Another former Meriden resident Sylvia Ortega is a publicist in Beverly Hills that helped Mierzejewski make the Hollywood connection.
