The student, who was actively resisting the officer’s orders to comply, was being combative and refusing to follow any of the officer’s instructions, according to police. The hall monitor and resource officer suffered minor injuries, but the student was not injured.
"It should be noted that some forms of social media have already noted that the student may have been in possession of a firearm and this is False," police said. "There was no weapon involved nor did the student mention a weapon."
