Man Charged In Stabbing Inside Business In Meriden: Police
A man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing inside a business in Meriden, according to police.
MERIDEN, CT — A man has been arrested in connection with a recent stabbing inside a business in Meriden, according to police.
Police responded around 1:55 p.m. on Feb. 13 to a business on Pratt Street on the report of a stabbing.
Officers found that the victim had several stab wounds to his upper back and arms, according to police.

Police said the victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.
An arrest warrant was obtained for 26-year-old Luis Nieves-Garcia following an investigation by the Meriden Police Department’s Detective Division, with the assistance of the Middletown and Wallingford police departments and the New Haven State’s Attorney office, according to police.

Nieves-Garcia was taken into custody without incident on Thursday, police said.
Nieves-Garcia was charged with first-degree assault. He was held in lieu of a $150,000 bond.
