Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash In Meriden: Police
The accident occurred late Wednesday night.

MERIDEN, CT — A Meriden man was killed in a motorcycle crash Wednesday night on Hanover Road. Meriden Police responded to the area of Hanover Road and Prospect Avenue at about 11:30 p.m. on the report of a single-motorcycle crash. The motorcycle operator, identified as Lamont Williams, 44, of Meriden, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to acting Capt. Thomas Cossette.
Responding officers found Williams lying between the sidewalk and guardrail on Hanover Road after his motorcycle struck the guardrail. (To sign up for Meriden breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
Cossette said the initial investigation shows Williams was traveling south on Hanover Road on a Suzuki motorcycle and was unable to negotiate a left bend in the road and struck a guardrail on his right side. The motorcycle struck the guardrail several times.

Williams was knocked off of the motorcycle and struck the guardrail with his head. He was not wearing a helmet, according to Cossette.
This accident is still under investigation by Officer Connolly of the Meriden Police Department’s Accident Reconstruction Unit. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact Cossette at 203 630-6216.
