MERIDEN, CT — Kevin Cleland, a 37-year-old Meriden resident, has been identified as the deceased man whose body was pulled from a pond Tuesday, according to Meriden police.

Cleland was found just after 1 p.m., but there were no signs of trauma to his body, and "there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death," according to Sgt. Christopher Fry. The pond is located at Merritt Station on Yale Avenue in Meriden.

The results of an autopsy performed by the state medical examiner's office have not yet been released, but Fry added that Cleland may have had a previous medical condition.
