Meriden Drum Circle at Wednesday's Mid-Week Music Event in Meriden

Meriden's Mid-Week Summer Music Series will feature the Meriden Drum Circle - an interactive community drum circle in which the audience is encouraged to clap and dance and feel the music of West Africa.

From noon to 2 p.m. the group will perform in the courtyard in front of Middlesex Community College's Meriden Center at 55 West Main St. (View a snippet of the group's drumming and a short interview with drum leader Mark Zarrillo done by event organizer Steve Robichaud of the Sandman Gallery by clicking the video at right.) 

Performances – everything from jugglers to jazz standards – will be held each Wednesday from noon to 2 p.m., rain or shine, until August 31. For more information, contact Robichaud at 203-686-0000.
