Meriden Police are searching for a woman they believe is being held against her will, and her alleged kidnapper.

Police say they believe 25-year-old Muhammed Hussein has kidnapped Justine Boynton, 30, according to a statement released at 2:45 p.m. Monday.  Hussein is said to be armed and dangerous, and may be driving a black, 1993 Jaguar XJC, with the license plate of 817XHA, or a gray 1995 Range Rover with the license plate of 517XBE.

Boynton's family called Meriden Police Monday, after they hadn't heard from her since Friday, according to Meriden Police Department Spokesman Sgt. Leonard Caponigro.

A warrant is out for the arrest of Hussien, after Boynton filed charges of sexual assault and kidnapping against him on February 6, according to Caponigro. He said police are uncertain of the current relationship between the two.

Caponigro said that police sent a SWAT team earlier today to an apartment at 101 West Main St., after a tip that Hussein was there. Neither Boynton nor Hussein were at the apartment, he said.

If members of the public see either party, they are urged to call Meriden Police detective Sgt. Richard Baustien at 203-630-6319, the Meriden Police department at 203-630-6201, or any law enforcement agency.
