Meriden Proposal to Hire 2 Park Rangers Moves Closer to Approval

The pair would provide services at the Meriden Green.

MERIDEN, CT — A proposal for the city to hire two park rangers for the Meriden Green was approved this week by a City Council committee and will move forward to the full council for a vote in the near future.

The positions would pay a salary of close to $50,000 annually for 40-hour work weeks for 10 months out of the year, reports the Meriden Record-Journal.

The two would patrol the green, provide basic maintenance, and offer assistance to residents and vendors as needed, among other duties.
