Meriden Students Experience ‘Mock Crash’ For Prom Prep
CT State Police say the event demonstrated the consequences of DUI and distracted driving to students embarking on prom events.

MERIDEN, CT — (Shared by Connecticut State Police): This morning the Junior & Senior Students at H.C. Wilcox Tech HS in Meriden observed a "Mock Crash" demonstration prepared by their School Resource Officer - Tpr. Wayne Petralito of CSP - Troop I. He coordinated with Meriden Fire Department, Meriden EMS, Meriden Police Department, Hunters Ambulance, Nelcon Automotive & the School Administration for this event.
The event demonstrated the consequences of poor decision making (DUI & distracted driving) to students who are embarking on their respective Prom events. The "realistic performances" of the professionals on scene as well as the student role players made a profound impact on the students who witnessed this event. We hope all of the students who have Prom's upcoming make good decisions. #prompromises
