Meriden Weather: Much Colder Headed Into Next Weekend
Temperatures will drop sharply by next weekend ushering in the coldest air of the season thus far, but Election Day looks great.

With Daylight Saving Time passed and it getting darker earlier now we can sense that winter isn’t too far away. The forecast this week in Connecticut is largely uneventful, except that it begins to turn much colder by next weekend with high temperatures only into the 40s.
And as we all know by now, the state needs some rain, a lot of rain, and the only chance for rain over the next seven days is some showers on Wednesday. There is also no excuse not to vote on Tuesday, as we’re looking at sunny skies, and the warmest day of the week, with high temps into the 60s.
WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons wrote on Facebook that, “after a cold start, quiet weather is expected today with high temperatures in the 50s. Dry and warmer tomorrow for Election Day with temperatures in the 60s. Some light rain expected on Wednesday!”
