Meriden Woman Sentenced For Child Exploitation: Feds
A Meriden woman has been sentenced to federal prison for distributing sexually explicit images of young children.
MERIDEN, CT — A Meriden woman will serve seven years in prison for child exploitation, according to a statement from Leonard C Boyle, Acting United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut. Amber Foley, 33, will also serve 10 years of supervised release.
Foley distributed sexually explicit images of a four-year-old girl, according to the statement.
Law enforcement began investigating Foley in October 2017 after she sent a sexually explicit photo of a four-year-old girl to a man she was chatting with on MeetMe, a mobile dating application, according to prosecutors. The investigation revealed that she had previously sent sexually explicit images of both the minor victim and a two-year-old boy to other men on MeetMe.

She also initiated conversations about sexual activity involving the minor victim and asked the men to describe in explicit detail the sexual acts they would perform on the minor victim, according to prosecutors.
Investigators did not uncover any evidence that Foley and the minor victim met the men Foley chatted with.

Foley was arrested Jan. 18, 2018.
She pleaded guilty in May to one count of distribution of child pornography.
