Middletown Man - with Face Covered in Duct Tape - Arrested for Disturbance in Meriden: Cops

He also rammed a police cruiser with his car and fought with officers, police said.

Meriden, CT - A 34-year-old Middletown man was arrested by Meriden police Saturday after he walked into the Centennial Avenue Stop and Shop with his face covered in duct tape and caused a commotion, according to police.

Store personnel called police at about 10:30 p.m. after Justin Michalski walked into the store and allegedly began acting suspiciously, reports the Meriden Record-Journal.

He left the store and tried to drive away, but he refused to cooperate with police commands and he rammed a cruiser with his car and fought with officers before being tased and subdued.

Police said officers found a stolen purse, cash and medication, and alcohol, in Michalski's possession.

He was held in lieu of a $32,500 bond and was taken to MidState Medical Center for evaluation. He was scheduled to appear in court on Monday; the status of his case is unknown.
