Suspects in 2015 Meriden Shooting Enter Pleas: Report

The incident occurred in April of that year in City Park.

MERIDEN, CT — Four men have entered pleas in connection with an April 2015 shooting in City Park in Meriden, reports the Meriden Record-Journal.

The 22-year-old victim was shot twice while he was playing basketball in the park with a group of people, according to police. He survived, and the four suspects were apprehended.

All four were charged with weapons offenses, and three of them entered guilty pleas, writes the Record-Journal. Meriden residents Teharmon Techer, 23, Denzel Byrd, 24, and Waterbury resident Kyshone Jackson, 19, pleaded guilty. Meriden resident Joerael Bratten, 23, pleaded not guilty to first-degree assault.
