Turkey Burgers
Wondering what to make tonight? Try these turkey and poblano pepper burgers

Ingredients
- 1lb lean ground turkey breast
- ½ fresh lemon juice
- 3 garlic cloves chopped
- ¼ cup chopped poblano peppers
- 1 tbsp each of fresh rosemary, oregano and sage
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 cup sliced onions
- 2 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil
- 4 slices of Swiss cheese
- 4 leaf of dark green lettuce
- 4 slices of tomatoes
- 4 whole grain buns
- Pinch of salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
Directions
In a medium bowl add ground turkey, lemon juice, garlic, chopped poblano peppers, and fresh herbs. Season with salt & pepper. Divide turkey meat into 4 equal-sized rounds. Grill or broil until cooked through, about 3 minutes per side. In the meanwhile heat a frying pan with the oil and sauté the onions and mushrooms together until tender about 3 minutes and set aside. Place turkey meat on the bottom layer of the bun, place 1 slice of cheese on top the meat, then a slice of tomato, sautéed onions and mushroom and the lettuce. Serve with a portion of vegetable chips or fresh fruit. Makes 4 Servings.
