MERIDEN, CT - Elizabeth Rodie Jones, 59, has been identified as the woman who died in the early morning fire on Pettit Drive on June 3, according to fire officials.
Her husband, Leonidas Jones, survived the fire but could not get to her before firefighters arrived, reports the Meriden Record-Journal. Emergency personnel were able to pull her out of the home but she was pronounced dead a short while later at MidState Medical Center.
