Victims ID'd in SUV into House Crash in Meriden
Two people were injured in the crash which occurred Tuesday morning on Broad Street.

MERIDEN, CT — The investigation into the Tuesday morning crash where an SUV slammed into a multi-family house on Broad Street in Meriden is continuing, according to police.
The driver, Michael Quigley, 56, remains hospitalized in critical condition, however, he is expected to survive his injuries, according to Meriden police spokesperson Sgt. Darrin McKay.
"The female passenger, Raya Odell (age 41), is in stable condition and luckily her injuries were not as severe as they were first thought to be," McKay added.

The accident has displaced the five families who live in the home, and the structure has been ruled uninhabitable, reports the Meriden Record-Journal.
McKay said "there was no usable [traffic or surveillance] video from a nearby building," which police were hoping would help show the circumstances surrounding the accident.

"At this time we have not been able to speak with Mr. Quigley due to his injuries."
