4 Arrested On Drug Charges In Middletown: Police

The arrests stem from undercover narcotics and quality of life operations in the Main Street area of the city, according to police.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — Four men have been arrested on drug charges in connection with undercover operations in the Main Street area of the city, according to police.

Police said the street crime unit has conducted undercover narcotics and quality of life operations in June and July after receiving complaints of criminal activity on Main Street in the north end of the city.

“As a result, Street Crime Unit Detectives have been actively working to identify and arrest parties responsible for such activity,” police wrote in a news release. “While these efforts are ongoing, we are pleased to report the following arrests as part of our community partnership.”

Kaseem Harris, 46, of Middletown, Michael Rosado, 36, of New Britain, Edward Baptista, 50, of Middletown, and Kenneth Hofler, 26 years old, of Middletown, were arrested on charges including possession of controlled substances with intent to sell, interfering with an officer, sale of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with evidence, according to police.

The men have all appeared in court, according to police.

As a result of the arrests, detectives seized crack cocaine, powder cocaine, and fentanyl, along with a large amount of cash, police said.

“Investigations and operations into Main Street area quality of life issues remain ongoing,” police said.
