4 Hospitalized After 2-Car Crash On Rt. 9 In Cromwell: State Police
The accident resulted in four people being transported to a local hospital, state police said.

CROMWELL, CT — Two New Britain residents, a Middletown resident and a Massachusetts resident were all hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash on Route 9 in Cromwell on Saturday afternoon, state police said.
At 12:44 p.m. Saturday, a 2014 Toyota Tacoma driven by a Massachusetts man was traveling on Route 9 South, in the left center lane of four, in Cromwell, state police said.
A New Britain woman was driving a 2000 Buick Regal in the right center lane adjacent to the Toyota Tacoma, state police said.

"For an unknown reason, Vehicle #2 (the Buick Regal) lost control and entered the left center lane resulting in contact with Vehicle #1 (Toyota Tacoma)," state police said in a news release. "Vehicle #2 struck a light pole in the center median on the left side before rolling over. Operator #1 was transported to Middlesex Hospital. All occupants of Vehicle #2 were transported to Hartford Hospital. Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Untouchable. This case remains under investigation."
