Caretaker Assaults Disabled Man For Eating Candy: Middletown Police
Police said a woman is charged with allegedly attacking a disabled man in her care after he ate candy off the shelves of a store.

MIDDLETOWN, CT - Police said an East Hampton woman is charged with allegedly attacking a disabled man in her care, the Middletown Press reported. The incident allegedly occurred because the man was eating candy from the shelves of a pharmacy.
Officers were called to Walgreens on East Main Street on June 23 after a receiving reports of a woman assaulting a disabled man, according to the Middletown Press. Police said Danielle J. Zoldak, who was identified as the victim's caretaker, was seen slapping the victim's hand as he reached for more candy.
Police said video surveillance showed the suspect kicking, pushing and pulling the victim's hair, the Middletown Press reported. Officers subsequently found marijuana and a glass smoking pipe in the suspect's purse, police said.
