'Christmas Miracle': Cat Missing For 5 Months Reunited With Owners
Minka went missing at a rest stop in Connecticut back in July. She was reunited with her owners just in time for Christmas.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — A Vermont cat that went missing at the I-91 rest stop five months ago was found and reunited with her owners just in time for Christmas, according to Middletown Animal Control.
"Get your tissues ready because we have the greatest story about our own Christmas Miracle!" Middletown Animal Control said in a Facebook post.
The Goldemund family took a break at the rest stop on their journey to relocate from Georgia to Vermont over the summer, according to Fox 61. Family members cracked a window and took a nap, but discovered Minka had climbed out while everyone was sleeping.

Drivers had spotted Minka on either side of I-91, but she was elusive. Wallingford resident Cortney Madore spotted Minka twice in the same location and called Middletown Animal Control, according to Fox 61.
Animal control officers went out to get the cat, but she ran away. Minka was finally caught in a humane trap Monday and a microchip scan confirmed her identity, according to animal control.

Minka's owner Susan drove four hours from Vermont to pick up Minka.
