Crews Respond To Fire At Kleen Energy Systems Plant In Middletown

MIDDLETOWN, CT — Crews are at the scene of a structure fire at the Kleen Energy Systems plant, according to officials.

“Due to the quick action of South Fire District Middletown, City of Middletown Professional Firefighters Local 1073, Westfield Fire Department, and partners from Meriden, Haddam, Durham, Middlefield, and others the scene is contained and injuries were avoided,” officials wrote in a post on Facebook.

“DEEP is en route with *CLEAN* foam trailers to help mitigate contamination and begin cleanup.

“Thank you to all our First Responders for their immediate response and containment.”
