Dedication Ceremony Connecticut Trees of Honor Memorial. The public is cordially invited at Veterans Memorial Park, Walnut Grove Road Middletown, CT. September 17, 2016 2:30 p.m.
This is a free event and no tickets are required. The all-day event will begin with the Annual 65K Run for the Fallen – CT starting at 6:00 a.m. Guests are invited to spend any portion of the day to cheer on the runners, participate in the run or walk, meet military and Gold Star families and enjoy music and patriotism surrounding this day. The Dedication Ceremony and 65K Finish Line will begin at 2:30 p.m.
Our keynote speaker is former Navy SEAL Officer Chris Fussell who was Aide-de-Camp to then-Lieutenant General Stanley McChrystal during McChrystal’s final year commanding the Joint Special Operations Command. Seating at the dedication will be limited so please bring a lawn chair for your own comfort. This event will be held rain or shine. Follow signs for parking and shuttle bus transportation to the memorial site. There will be limited handicapped parking in Veterans Memorial Park.
