Details Emerge in Moreno Murder Case
Tony Moreno, father of infant Aaden Moreno, admitted to throwing his son off the Arrigoni Bridge, police said.

More details emerge in the alleged murder of 7-month-old Aaden Moreno.
Tony Moreno, 21, of 155 Schuyler Ave., Middletown, was charged with murder and murder with special circumstances after allegedly throwing his infant son into the Connecticut River, before jumping in himself.
The father survived the jump and is being held on a $2,000,000 bond. He was turned over to Department of Corrections on July 8. Aaden’s body was recovered on Tuesday, July 7.

According to the Hartford Courant, Tony called his mother, Denise Moreno, on the evening of July 5. He reportedly asked his mother to come to the bridge so he could give her a phone containing pictures of Aaden.
She drove to the bridge while calling 911 and arrived in time to see her son near the railing. Police on scene asked Moreno to stop, to no avail, as he then jumped over the railing and into the river below the bridge.

Prior to Moreno jumping, he and Aaden’s mother, Adrianne Oyola, reportedly exchanged text messages in which Tony stated the baby was deceased.
Restraining Order Concerns
Questions have arisen about Judge Barry C. Pinkus’ decision to deny Oyola’s application for a restraining order against Tony earlier this year.
At one point, Tony allegedly violated a temporary restraining order. For more details, click here to read Moreno’s arrest warrant via the Hartford Courant website.

An online fundraiser was created to help the family pay for Aaden’s funeral expenses. As of 1:45 p.m. Thursday, July 9, the community raised $19,827 out of a $25k goal. The fundraiser surpassed its first goal of $15,000.
“Our goal has been raised by request of donors; any funds after Aaden’s arrangements have been paid in full will go to Adrianne to help her in any way she needs to start rebuilding her future after he’s laid to rest,” organizer Heather Curnow said on the fundraising page. ”She has said time again she’s shocked and overcome by people’s generosity, and is grateful for every prayer and dollar. Blessings to each of you.”
