Driver's Windshield Was Obstructed In Fatal Middletown Pedestrian Crash, Police Report Says
A driver has been charged with negligent homicide in a car versus pedestrian crash in Middletown last fall.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — A driver's windshield was obstructed before she hit a pedestrian in Middletown in September in a crash that turned out to be fatal, a police report says.
A police report made public Thursday shows that 34-year-old Lizbeth Jenny Gonzalez-Cedeno, of Middletown, was charged on Feb. 19 with driving with a windshield obstructing her view, negligent homicide with a motor vehicle, failure to yield to a pedestrian and a window tint violation.
A pedestrian was seriously hurt in a collision with a vehicle Monday morning in Middletown, police said.

The Sept. 29 crash took place at approximately 6:34 a.m., in the area of 139 Main Street Extension, police said.
When they arrived at the scene, officers determined that a 66-year-old man had been struck by a motor vehicle while crossing Main Street Extension.

He was rushed to Hartford Hospital with a life-threatening head injury and he succumbed to the injury shortly after, according to an incident report.
