Free Cooking Series

Thursday, September 28

Join the Middletown Urban Agriculture Project and Community Health Center for the 2nd session of our free cooking series highlighting local veggies!

Our session on Pickling & Preserving will be this Thursday, September 28, 2017, 6-7:30pm at the Community Health Center, 675 Main Street, Middletown. Chef Ruffini will be preparing two types of pickles, a roasted vegetable puree, and a salad dressing using herbs from the Erin Street Community Garden. Tasting will include the pickles, roasted vegetable dip with crackers and bread, and salad greens with the homemade dressing!
Chef Rufini has a great deal of experience using creative ways to preserve the taste of summer produce to enjoy throughout the year, which he is looking forward to sharing.
We hope you can join us! There will be fun activities for kids so bring them too!
Please sign up by contacting our office, 860-346-3282.
