Good Samaritan Sought For Rescuing Driver From Burning Car
State Police are asking for help with locating a Good Samaritan who helped rescue a driver from a fiery crash in Middletown.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — Connecticut State Police are asking for the public’s assistance with identifying a Good Samaritan who helped remove a person from a vehicle in a fiery crash on Route 9 so they could recognize the man for his selfless act. Police said that at about 9:08 p.m. on July 16, Troopers from Troop F responded to a motor vehicle accident on Route 9 South in the area of the Exit 12 off-ramp in Middletown.
Upon arrival, the Trooper found a 2007 Gray Infiniti that was fully engulfed in flames. Two men who had witnessed the crash also stopped and were attempting to remove the operator from the vehicle.
The Trooper deployed his fire extinguisher in the area of the driver’s door while the two men pulled the operator to safety, according to police.
