The Middletown Public Works Department has announced the Juneteenth Holiday schedule for the Middletown Recycling Center and the Sanitation District Collection.

Recycling Center
The Middletown Recycling Center will be closed Monday, June 20, 2022, in honor of the Juneteenth holiday. It will be open Saturday, June 18, from 7:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.

Sanitation District
The Sanitation District will not be collecting residential trash and recycling on Monday, June 20, 2022. Both trash and recycling will be picked up for Monday and Tuesday customers on Tuesday morning, June 21, 2022. Carts should be put out Monday evening.
The Sanitation District will only pick up the items that fit in the cart. Excess recyclables, including large corrugated boxes, can be brought to the Recycling Center at no charge. Food waste can also be segregated and brought to the Recycling Center or 675 Randolph Road at no charge. Food scraps must be loose or in BPI certified compostable bags or paper bags. No plastic bags or containers are allowed with the food scraps.
Please remember, plastic bags and plastic film are NOT allowed with the curbside recycling. More information on what is acceptable with the recycling, for all of Middletown is available at www.recyclect.com.
