They offer group events in the Middletown facility to roast your own coffee tastings with other local small local

I met them Saturday at the Grand Opening of Cinder and Salt on Main St. where they had a booth of their products. I was so impressed that they chose the Remington Rand Building, that I went their to check out the progress of the upgrading. I will soon be posting a story about the past, present and future of that building.
When I talked with the owners of Cinder and Salt they said they chose Middletown because they truly believe the Main St. area is a good area for small business. Cinder and Salt believes firmly in providing meaningful jobs here in Middletown for artists, having a minimal carbon footprint on the Earth and creating unique, stylish and attainable design items to wear, use, decorate and gift.

I also stopped by Middlesex Music Academy which started here In 2012. I was told that the owner, Matt Lefrebure, grew up in Middlesex County and thought that Middletown is the best Main St. in the state of Connecticut!
I went into the Main St. Market to meet with the owners of the two new shops Bella Gusta and Pocketful of Posies that I posted about on my National Small Business Day promotion: CLICK HERE FOR THE STORY!
The families that own the two stores had either lived in Middletown in the past or had family members who grew up here. Because they came here so much to eat at Main Streets wonderful restaurants they noticed that their was not many retail stores on Main Street. That is why they both opened their new second stores next to each other when they knew they were available in the city Market Center so they could expand their businesses.
My last stop was Irreplaceale Artifacts on Main St.
The owner has a history of preserving architectural history to reclaim building elements at an unprecedented scale. They have rescued beautifully crafted pieces certain to enhance the style of all new residential and commercial building, restoration, and decorating projects. The manager said they are based out of New York where all the demolished building’s remains or stored but they chose Downtown Middletown as the retail center!
