Jazz Up Close, Mindfulness, Folk Music at Russell Library

All programs are free and open to all.

Jazz Up Close featuring Steve Wilson, saxophone Saturday, September 10 1:30pm in the Hubbard Room.
Resonant Motion, Inc. presents alto and soprano saxophonist Steve Wilson in a trio with bassist Henry Lugo and pianist/series curator Noah Baerman.

Mr. Wilson is an indispensable part of the New York City jazz scene, an important contributor to the bands of Chick Corea, Maria Schneider, Christian McBride, Buster Williams, Ralph Peterson and Dave Holland, and as a bandleader in a live recording from the fabled Village Vanguard with his quartet, Wilsonian Grain. Mr. Wilson serves on the faculties of CCNY and the Juilliard School. This program is made possible by the generosity of the Middletown Commission on the Arts.

David Chandler, M.S., in Integrative Health and Healing, will teach a one-hour workshop on mindfulness: focusing on the present moment and acceptance, without judgment. No previous experience is necessary. All are welcome at this drop-in program; repeats on September 20.
