Last Info Session On New Middletown 911 Call Center Is Monday

A $10 million project to build a new emergency communications center will be decided at the polls in November.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — The City of Middletown is hosting its third and final informational session on a proposed $10 million new Public Safety 911 Center.

It is expected to be decided at the polls during the November elections and it will take place Monday, Oct. 7, at Middletown Senior Center, 61 Durant Terrace at 2 p.m.

The one hour session is to inform voters on the need and necessity of such a project for the community. There will be time for questions on the project.

The question on the ballot for the proposed appropriation and bond authorization will read as follows:

“Shall the $10,000,000 appropriation and bond authorization for the planning, design, construction, and equipping of a new Public Safety 911 Center be approved? YES ___ NO ____”
